The gate itself seems fine, but the installation instructions call for a light lean inwards to create tension on the fence line. The problem is the latches that connects the fence to the gate are too long and do not pull the gate frame enough to make it plumb. Also, you have to make sure your drill holes are perfectly and I mean perfectly in line with the fence or your gate will be cockeyed.

The DIY gate is a great product. I followed the instruction and it went up nicely. If it’s your first time I would recommend you getting the drill guide. Their fence products are good too, it all looks great.

The instructions advise installing the gate's supporting posts on a light lean toward the gate itself, but this caused my gate to come together unevenly because I wasn't installing a complete fence around my pool. Since my fence ends at another structure (a wood fence), there are no more panels to pull the gate into a level position. It would have been helpful to have this caveat in the instructions.

It’s not gonna cost you $5k and a professional install to get a pool fence to protect your kids and look good. $1.5k and 1 day of work (with a helper) got me a great looking fence that other new parents are already asking about. PoolFenceDIY makes it easy by giving you all the right tools and easy instructions to boot. I only wish the kit came with grease pens, and they more strongly recommended additional drill bits up front. (Drilling holes with a light lean puts a beating on them and i went through a couple.) just be sure to buy additional ones made for the drill they provide, not your drill at home. My dewalt couldn’t keep up. Happy fencing!

We added two additional gate accesses to our existing Pool Fence DIY system and really looks great and makes getting out of our pool fence near the pump a lot nicer then pulling the fence down each time.

Gate and fence is great for what we intended use for. Install in and instructions were great as well. I would recommend using drill guide especially for gate. I had to do a little tweaking on Gate to line up properly do to drilling angle error. Drill guide would have proactively addressed that issue.
