The keyboard itself is good for the price paid. BUT the keys are smaller than the one on the Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 that I replaced. I do a lot of fat fingering on the new one when I type faster.

This is great. I do like the silent keys compared to my previous Microsoft version. Also, I love the attachment that lifts the bottom part of the keyboard from underneath. It makes it ergonomic. Love it!

I am so glad I found this keyboard again! I bought the one from Microsoft two years ago before they discontinued it. From what I can tell this is identical to the Micrsoft one. I love the layout and the keys are responsive. I'm glad they didn't change it.

My favorite keyboard of all time, the Microsoft LXM-00001, resurrected!!! So happy that you gave life back to this - such a joy to type on. Looks-wise it is exactly the same, and typing-wise it is extremely close. The incase version is also a joy to type on, and the keystrokes are slightly quieter than the Microsoft version which I have right next to it for comparison. Basically, it simply is a LXM-00001 - this will be my fourth keyboard of this model, first 3 with Microsoft logo. The only reason I would think you may not like this keyboard is if this would be your first 'ergonomic' keyboard - it takes a little time getting used to it when switching from a flat keyboard layout. But, once you get used to it in a short period of time you will see its advantages. pro-tip: you may see some shiny 'markings' left on the wristpad area where your hands touch the pad as you use this keyboard over time. Chances are that is simply a dirty spot, and not burnishing of the plastic material. Take a household sponge, lightly dampened with just a teeny drop of dishwashing liquid so you just get some suds and dampen that area with only the soft side of the sponge, wash the area carefully, then wipe clean with the rinsed out soft side of the sponge - follow up with a microfiber cloth if you have it to dry it out. Makes it looks practically brand new. Simply stated: highly recommended purchase!!!

If you have been searching for a Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard, this is your replacement. It is not identical to the MS 4000, but is very close and better than the others I have tried. It has the center split done properly for my muscle memory. Only time will tell if the keys hold up, but I had to get a new keyboard. Thank you Incase for coming to the rescue!

This keyboard is similar enough to my former Microsoft keyboards to meet the comfort and familiarity test. While I enjoy using this much more than what I had since my last Microsoft keyboard died, it still can improve to gain a fifth star. Backlighting would be a great advancement and would earn that fifth star. A slightly larger Enter key would be nice.

After 10 years, my puppy chewed the wire off my trusty Microsoft ergonomic keyboard. I was excited to get this replacement but disappointed as the keys are not as smooth and refined. The 'N' key sticks and takes effort/more pressure to press which results in an uncomfortable experience.

I was expecting the keyboard to be the exact same as the Microsoft one I purchased in 2018. It’s close, but not the exact same. I do like how it’s quieter than the original though bc the keys are flatter. My only complaint is there are no legs like the original Microsoft keyboard has so it can’t be tilted in the same way as my old one. It took me a few days to get used to it, but there really should be legs as an option for those of us that want it tilted. All in all, I am happy.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this keyboard, and I am SO GLAD you were able to take these on! It's the best ergonomic keyboard I've ever used, and I've been ergonomic since 1996. My wrists and elbows thank you!!

As several reviews have noted, this is not a reissue of my beloved model 4000, but is the successor to it. After spending 20 years using the 4000, I’m finding it a little difficult to adjust to the slight differences in the key layout. There’s also no feet to raise the back of the keyboard up which I prefer. But after picking those nits, I do think this is the best replacement for the 4000 available. The ergonomics are good, key travel is acceptable and it is quieter than my recently departed 20 year old keyboard. :) I’ll be buying another to keep as a replacement just in case I make another 20 years.

This keyboard has lineage to the Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. The 4000 is a legendary keyboard, I still use it at work, but it is not sold anymore so this is the next best thing that is available. Pros: - There is a break-in in terms of getting comfortable with the layout, but stick to it for 1-2 weeks and it will feel like typing on a Lexus. - The keys are comfortable and I love typing on this thing from an ergonomic standpoint. I am a large person (6'3) with big hands, not sure if that matters, but this keyboard fits me well. I am on the computer from 5am to 7pm and no issues in pain what so ever. - It has media keys that I use from time to time (but I wish it had a mute mic button..) - The keyboard is quiet, in comparision to the 4000 this keyboard doesn't have as much of that clunk clunk the 4000 had (especially on the spacebar). - the softpad wrist rest feel great! It doesn't feel like the fake leather on the 4000. but in my opinion it's almost or just as good. Cons: - I kind of wish it had backlighting, it would had some modern flare to it. but I work with a light on my desk so I guess it's just a nice to have. - I think on the 4000 the windows key was bigger on the left side, I wish it was the same with this keyboard (I know it's very particular but if you use windows button in 4000 you'll see it's used a lot). - I wish the menu key was on the right side. I use Linux a lot and this emoji key is doesn't work natively. I wish they just use the standard menu button (simulates a right click), instead of emoji button :( TDLR: Great keyboard if you looking for an ergonomic keyboard, it's wired but this keyboard is almost a classic! I will buy several just in case they phase it out.

Familiar design diminished by faint keycap printing. Lack of a backlit option is disappointing.

Glad the keyboard is being made again and I was waiting for 2 years to be able to buy it. So I am Incase is making them. I have been using the MS designed Ergonomic Keyboards since the mid 90's when they first came out. I go through 1 a year working on video games. What is missing and changed over the years and lack of improvement makes me sad. I want a LED backlit, I want the riser legs in the back to add angle, (right now I bought some from Amazon and have to move them from keyboard to keyboard) I want higher quality components like microswitches, I hate the windows emote button, I hate that they added the win / opt button. On the MS4000 version was perfect for these the right side button layout as those buttons are bigger and key to driving programs like Maya, Max, and Unreal Engine. I hope with this feedback Incase can do what MS refused to do for years I have been complaining about these changes made and lack of progress on having the keyboard keep up with with modern gaming keyboards. I would happily pay more for these upgrades. At this point I am just happy to be able to buy it again, but have hope for the future now that Incase is in charge.

This is just a fine, comfortable keyboard. - I've already been through a couple of them - they really don't like having coffee spilled in them, so now I keep a hot spare ready just in case.

These keyboards are great! They work just like the old Microsoft keyboards before they stopped making them.

Great to have Incase take over Microsoft designed keyboards. I was finally able to retire my old ergonomic keyboard.

I bought the InCase Ergonomic (Designed by Microsoft) keyboard to replace the Microsoft LXM-00001 keyboard I've had for years. I do a lot of typing daily & my hands are particularly sensitive, so I was wary of any design "liberties" that Incase may have taken. Thankfully, though, my hands didn't know the difference -- consider me a satisfied customer.

It functions just like the previous ergonomic keyboards from Microsoft, though at a much higher price point. I think they nailed the execution but you are going to pay for it.

Love it, very similar to the Microsoft 4000 with same "curser control key" arrangement (arrow keys) and mostly same Home-end-delete etc. keys. Good quality, keys smooth. Lettering good for now.

Just like the Microsoft one I’ve been missing. It’s expensive but you can’t get this one with this silent key touch anywhere else.
