I was running a Cat5e cable prior, so I really wasn't expecting much of a difference since they're rated up to 1Gbps. However, I believe I underestimated the difference in cable shielding. Cat8 cables have far higher shielding standards than Cat5e, so there's significantly less signal interference.

I’m go keep it simple….DO NOT BUY THIS! My regular cable had the same speed. This is not real CAT8. I would’ve sent it back for a refund but it took longer than expected for delivery date. Clearly a quick money grab. My speeds should’ve tripled. Instead this is what I have….

Absolute trash! Braiding was cheap and tore off part of the cable in the first weeks and attracted my cats to scratch and chew it more than if it wasn’t there.

Great product, when it gets up to 100 ft it's a little hard to run but overall easy install. Being that it's flat and so long it curls up sometimes, you just have to untangle. But on 100ft I got 1.4Gb speeds.

This was one of the easiest cables to install underneath the floorboard, it came with extra clips to be able to run cables but it wasn't even necessary. The speed upgrade is insane on fiber internet.
