I have the Carfidant Heavy Duty Bug, Tar and Sap remover and was really impressed with the results. It removed a glob of sap that nothing else I had tried would remove. One of my cars is ceramic coated and wanted to get this version that is safe for coated vehicles.This stuff works really well at removing bug guts. Spray on, let it dwell and the bugs just wipe off, leaving the paint nice and shiny. I have a tree that get gets some sort of sap like substance on my car. This product unfortunately didn't do a great job at removing it. It would get some off but not all. I don't have any tar on my car so I couldn't test that out.I could have sworn when I first ordered this it was advertised as a coating safe bug, sap and tar remover but now it's only advertised as a bug remover.You can also add this stuff to your wash bucket for extra cleaning power. I like adding some to my foam cannon for the pre wash spray.If you're looking for a good bug remover I can recommend this but for sap and tar I'd look elsewhere.

I constantly drive back and forth to Las Vegas through the desert. When it's nice and hot out you tend to find a few bugs on the way. I keep this with my so I can get rid of those unsightly bugs between trips. Just spray and let dwell a bit before wiping. Let the chemical do the work so you have to do less. And the added protection of having ceramic keeps the following cleanings less and easier. I appreciate that it doesn't have such a chemical smell like some others I have used.

PRO’S:Works very well on windshield!! The glass almost looks like there is no glass! It makes it so clean it really does look that good!We noticed that after the second use the shine to the car paint was absolutely impeccable!!! The first use got the bugs and road tar and oils off but the second use a week later just made our car almost look showcase new!!This is an excellent product! Works extremely well!!!No complaints!! Will likely be our absolute go to product going forward.

This car cleaner spray is quite effective at removing sticky messes from your car without the need for (potentially damaging) scrubbing. There are other well-known gunk removers out there, but (as far as I know) they are not specifically targeted towards car care.Getting good results with ceramics requires a lot of preparation; the coating should be applied to the entire car at the same time rather than in random spots. That being said, if, like me, your car already has a ceramic coating and you just need to remove some gunk, then this would be the perfect thing to use.

I have tried several types of bug and pine tar removers with very limited success. This spray on product if allowed to set for about ten minutes will effectively remove most bug and tree tar stains with just the application of home water hoses. A second application may be required for really tough bugs but this product is much better than any other product like this that I have tried.

I'm familiar with Carfidant products and this exterior tar remover cleaner is another good product. For problematic spots, you spray and let soak for a little bit and wipe down. It does a good job of getting of stuck bugs and tar deposits. Repeat if necessary. This is a good addition to my car cleaning kit.

I wanted to try something with a spray bottle versus my old product that you dab on a cloth (oldschool product, probably everyone knows it). These seems to work just as well, and, yeah, ease of a spray bottle. It's not as cheap as what I have always used, but considering a bottle lasts me several years, I suppose that's not a big deal.

I think this works well because I don't need to use much elbow grease. I wondered what the ceramic coating would do on an older model vehicle, but I haven't seen any problem with it.

Instructions say to leave on "a few minutes", and it seems to work when left on 3-4 minutes but also when spraying directly and using the cloth that already has solution on it. With bug splatter removal, it works well but does take some elbow grease. It works on both painted surfaces as well as plastic.There was some kind of "goo" (not sure if tar, bug or other) on the motorcycle chrome pipe that would not come off, even with several 'spray and wait' periods. I tried several methods but no success.Also, it says that it's ceramic, but my vehicle had a ceramic spray treatment on it prior to using this product. After using the bug spray, the surface looked great but didn't feel as slick, and the water did not bead up. I had to reapply my original ceramic spray to be confident the protection was restored.

If you spray down the bugs and let it sit for a couple minutes, the do come off pretty easily with a microfiber towel. Just a few wipes without too much pressure got off some old, dried bugs quite well.The ceramic coating is evident as after you wipe off all the bugs, the finish is left with a nice smooth feel to it. It should help add a slight layer of protection and make getting the new bugs off a little easier. It doesn't replace a full wax job, but you can tell it provides a nice coating to your paint.

I like that this works so fast. I applied this to my front end and side view mirrors. I like that it removes the bugs and buildup so well and so fast that it didn't take any effort to remove that stuff with my pressure washer. It was so easy to use and doesn't take a lot. I noticed how much nicer my front grill looks after using it. It doesn't smell bad at all. I absolutely love this stuff.

Carfidant Exterior Car Cleaner Spray with Ceramic Coating is great for removing tough stains and unwanted residue on your car. I use this mostly for tree sap leftovers due to parking outside. It's also great for tar and bugs, and bird poo residue.

I live in a forrest and have to park under pine trees. I deal with sap constantly, especially during warmer weather. This spray worked awesome on fresher sap, but not so much on the baked on spots. I will definitely be keeping this on hand from now on!

This spray made cleaning up bug-splatter a breeze. I don't exactly know what "Ceramic" means in this product: my car is coated with professional grade ceramic product... so I really don't need anything reacting with that. Ceramic seems like a buzz word, and is meaningless to me.in terms of this review.It cleaned the bugs off with a couple swipes of the terry cloth, and left a streak-free glossy look. Great 👍However, removing tar didn't go as easily as advertised: I let the product set for several minutes, but the tar did not just wipe off. It did ultimately come off, with multiple applications and buffing the area, however. I should note that the "tar" in my case is from "tar balls" on a race track hitting the car - they may be considered more of a rubber than some sort of asphalt road tar?Regardless, the product cleaned up all the spots I needed it to, when other products weren't getting it done. I'm happy with it.

Also, I noticed since using this spray, I hardly have bugs stuck on the front of my car anymore. When I first used it, I had tons of bugs but once I cleaned it off with this, hardly bugs stick anymore. I believe it provides a true protective shield as well. Pictures I attached is after using this over 2 weeks ago. Still no bugs. Will buy again.
