Chowmein Ingredients: 8 oz chow mein noodles (or egg noodles) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 cup shredded cabbage 1 cup sliced bell peppers (any color) 1 cup julienned carrots 1 cup bean sprouts 2 green onions, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional) Salt and pepper to taste Instructions: Cook the Noodles: Boil the chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. Sauté Vegetables: In a large pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add Veggies: Add the cabbage, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Combine Noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the pan along with bean sprouts and green onions. Season: Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using). Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
